Albert Okumagba is the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of BGL Plc. Prior to joining the company; he was Manager and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Centre-Point Merchant Bank Limited (now Unity Bank Plc). During his career at Centre-Point, Mr. Okumagba managed portfolios in Corporate Banking, Multilateral Agency Credits and traded on the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on behalf of Centre-Point's stock broking affiliate, Centre-Point Investment Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and a Master of Science Degree in Economics specializing in Monetary Economics from the University of Lagos. He has attended several courses in Multilateral Agency Credit Appraisals, World Bank Assisted Projects, and Corporate Finance. Mr. Okumagba is an authorised dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stock-brokers. He is the Chairman, Bond sub-committee of the Capital Markets Committee ("CMC"), member of the Presidential Committee on the Bond Market, Chairman of the Technical and Strategy Sub-committee of the Bond Steering Committee, a council member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange from November 2003 to September 2006, a council member of The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers from 1999 - 2005 and Chairman of the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria from 2002 to October 2006.
Chibundu N. Edozie
Group Deputy Executive Director
Chibundu Edozie is a Director of BGL Asset Management Ltd. and also the Group Deputy Managing Director of BGL Plc; overseeing Market Making & Underwriting Division as well as BGL Securities Ltd, BGL Asset Management Ltd and BGL Private Equity Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Mining from the University of Jos and he is an authorized dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. Prior to joining BGL Plc, he worked for IMB Securities Plc (now a member of First Inland Bank Plc Group) and Fountain Securities Limited (now a member of the Spring Bank Plc Group). He is an alumnus of the New York Institute of Finance, New York, the IMD Business School, and the Lagos Business School. He has attended various courses on Company Valuation and Formation of Issues Prices, Computing and Managing and Packaging Capital Issues. He is also a Council member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
Modupe Mujota
Managing Director / CEO
Modupe Mujota is currently the Managing Director / CEO of BGL Asset Management Limited. She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan.
Prior to joining BGL, Mrs. Mujota was the Head of Business Development of Kakawa Asset Management Limited where she had oversight responsibility for the operations and administration of the company. Her sojourn with the Kakawa group saw her through almost all aspects of the niche area of Discount House business from Treasury to Operations culminating in a specialization in Corporate Finance and Risk Management.
Modupe supported the group's growth through her contributions as Brand Champion as well as her varied committee memberships. She is a student member of the International Risk Management Association and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers
Clara B. Mshelia
Deputy Managing Director
Clara Mshelia is the Deputy Managing Director of BGL Asset Management Limited. Prior to this, she was the Chief Marketing Officer North, BGL Securities Limited.
Prior to joining the BGL Group, Clara had a distinguished career in legal practice and had worked as a solicitor with Ricky Tarfa & Co. Chambers as well as Admiralty Fleet Limited as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. She has developed strong competencies in Asset Management, Portfolio Structuring & Management as well as Client Advisory & Servicing.
She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State and is enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She has attended several courses including the High Potential Leadership Course of Harvard University.
Joseph Edgar
Executive Director, Business Development
Joseph Edgar is an Executive Director of BGL Asset Management Limited. Prior to this, he was a member of the Group Corporate Strategy Division of BGL Plc. and one time Chief Marketing Officer West, BGL Securities Limited. Edgar has over 15 years work experience in the Banking and Trust Services sub-sector of the financial market with stints at the then Magnum Trust Bank, NAL Asset Management and Trust Limited, Habib Bank (now Bank PHB) amongst others. Edgar has over the years built up a wide network of contacts and associates within the Lagos area and indeed nationwide in his career as a frontline relationship manager and stockbroker. He continues to build a thriving career in the business of providing capital market solutions to an increasingly satisfied and growing clientele base.
He holds an M.Sc Degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
Olumide Ogunsanwo
Executive Director, Investment Solutions
Olumide Ogunsanwo is an Executive Director and heads the Investment Solutions Division of BGL Asset Management Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
He has 10 years cognate experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Management and Commercial Banking and had previously worked in First Atlantic Bank Plc and Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited. He has had attended extensive training courses (local and international) on: Asset Management, Corporate Finance, Underwriting, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Fixed Income Securities Trading

Omini Ofem is currently an Assistant Vice President and heads the South-South Region of BGL Asset Management Limited.
He holds a first Degree in Basic Medical Sciences (Clinical Human Nutrition) from The University of Ibadan and an MBA (Marketing) from the University of Lagos. He is also an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, University of Navara, Barcelona, Spain.
Omini is an Associate Member of The Certified Institute of Pension of Nigeria (CIPN) and The Chartered Institute of Management.
Prior to joining BGL Plc, he had extensive marketing experience in the IT Sector, where he rose to the position of Business Development Manager. He has attended various relevant Onshore/Offshore courses in Investment Banking and Marketing of Financial Services.
Ademola Aofolaju
Head, Specialty Asset Advisory
Ademola Aofolaju is an Assistant Vice President and heads the Specialty Asset Advisory unit of BGL Asset Management Limited.
He is a graduate of Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Prior to joining the BGL Group he worked with Prudent Bank Plc (now Skye Bank Plc,), Kakawa Discount House Limited and the Barclays Group Nigeria Representative Office.
His experience in the Nigerian financial services industry spanning over 10 years cuts across Commercial and Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance and Investment Management.
He is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).
Chinwe Nnite
Head, Private Wealth Advisory (South-West Region)
Chinwe Nnite is currently an Associate and head of Private Wealth Advisory (South-West) unit of BGL Asset Management Limited. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos.
Prior to joining the BGL Group she worked with The Nigerian Economic Summit Group Ltd/GTE in the Research and Programmes departments respectively where she contributed to the groups' outstanding quarterly publication, the Economic Indicator. Also, she played strategic roles in coordinating policy commissions, seminars, policy dialogue series and the annual summits.
Chinwe played a strategic role as one of the pioneer staff of the Asset Management Company to ensure smooth transition of the Investment Management division of the BGL Group into the Asset Management subsidiary.
She has over seven year experience in the Nigerian financial services industry and a sound financial research background.
She is an Associate Member of the Certified Institute of Pension of Nigeria (CIPN) and the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ACE). She has attended various relevant onshore/offshore courses in Investment Banking, Client Relationship Management, Asset/Wealth Management and Project Management. She was awarded the Most Outstanding Staff of the Company in 2009.
